SUPERVISION IN COACHING AND MENTORING CERTIFICATE
Coaching Supervision Short Course
Our new Supervision in Coaching and Mentoring certificate course is designed to equip experienced and ideally qualified coaches to develop their skills to supervise practising coaches and mentors. We will support you to develop your own supervision approach whilst basing it on best practice principles. It is aimed at established coaches who have at least three years of coaching experience (be it formally or in a ‘leader as coach’ context), have worked with at least ten coaching clients and have experienced ongoing supervision of their own coaching practice.
Number of learning hours: 50
Duration: 7– 9 months
Delivery format: remote delivery with facilitated online 1-2-1 supervision and group webinars.
Activities: a blend of online/remote delivery including videos, webinars, self-assessments, real supervision practice with three volunteer coaches/supervisees, reflection, 1-2-1 supervision and feedback.

LEARNING OUTCOMES
The Programme’s Learning Outcomes – are taken from the EMCC’s 8 Supervision Competence Categories:
- Establishes and maintains a working contract with the supervisee (and relevant stakeholders) and manages the supervision process effectively.
- Enables the supervisee to improve the standard of their practice through a process of facilitated reflection.
- Provides a supportive space for the supervisee to process the experiences they have with clients and to prioritise their wellbeing as a coach or mentor.
- Supports high standards relating to professional, ethical and reflective practice in coaching, mentoring and supervision.
- Consciously uses and develops the ‘self’ in service of the supervision relationship and process.
- Understands and works with the layers of relationships that exist in the supervision process.
- Is able to recognise and work with the dynamics of human systems.
- Skilfully handles supervision group dynamics.
Core elements of the programme
Individual support
Each candidate would have their own professionally qualified Coach-Mentor Supervisor allocated (CMS) with whom they have 4 x 1-hour virtual sessions as well as receiving 2 hours of feedback on their written evidence during the programme.
Supervision Practice
Each candidate will also be required to formally supervise three volunteer coaching clients during the programme, who will provide detailed feedback on their supervision skills and techniques via an online Client Feedback Report.

How do I book and what price do I pay?
We run this course in groups; when we have the numbers, we run the course. The next cohort will start week commencing 14th October 2024. Please email [email protected] to find out about more dates.
You can book online either by credit card or requesting an invoice.
To make coaching and mentoring more accessible for those with less resources, we charge different rates for corporate clients and those who are privately funded.
For us this means people who work for publicly listed or limited companies pay the corporate rate and self-funding individuals, anyone in the Public sector or anyone in the Third sector pay the privately funded rate.
